The earliest source for Edward Clifford, son of your own 10th Lord Cliffordand Anne St. John, seems to be Collins’ Peerage (1812), that has been thenfollowed because of the J. W. Clay, “Brand new Clifford Family” into the ‘YorkshireArchaeological Journal’, Regularity 18 (1905), p. 375. Since the c.1505 HenryVII Connections pedigree, this new 1563 Visitation of Yorkshire, and you may Lady AnneClifford’s seventeenth-century account of one’s Cliffords renders no mention of the anEdward Clifford, child of your own tenth Lord and you may Anne St. John, I feel the guy canbe got rid of.
